Mirror World, A Web3 Development Platform, Debuts The Inaugural Gaming Rollup Chain On Solana

With this software development kit, Solana-based games can deal with “millions of requests” occurring in the game sessions, quickly sending them back to Solana L1 for fast processing.

In an announcement released on March 29, it was made known that Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), “Sonic,” a novel computational engine, would let developers run game engines and virtual machines of their choice on Solana through its software development kit (SDK) as well as process in-app transactions. The Mirror World-built Sonic SVM, HyperGrid, also allows gaming platforms to create their own Solana in-game cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregators and on-ramps.

The Mirror World SDK has been distributed so far to 50 initial gaming customers. Matr1x Fire, Mahjong Meta, and Seraph/ActozSoft have earned more than $30 million for each series round played in them drawing over 200k traffic sessions involving the use of the Mirror World SDK during gameplay. This is because “Sonic provides natively integrated tools for payment & settlement infrastructure, as well as user engagement tools necessary to build a successful Web3 game” wrote Mirror World.

Chris Zhu says that hundreds of games within the Web3 ecosystem have been helped monetize and listed by Mirror World. According to him: “We envision Sonic expanding the existing Solana Gaming Ecosystem to process millions of requests per second per game and settle them back onto Solana L1.” Another product from Mirror World called Smart Marketplace SDK allows you to deploy your own NFT marketplace with a name similar to this one for $299/mo with up to $1m monthly transaction volume.

Over the past year, Solana has gained 824% making it one of the top five blockchains by market cap. However, Ethereum’s games have slightly outpaced those of the Solana network but MomoAI is still its most popular title with just 80,680 active wallets. Nevertheless, other projects based on this blockchain are currently receiving attention. In February alone non-fungible token sales on Soln hit an all-time high of $5bn.
